The difference between POP and IMAP is where your emails and mail folders are stored. In most cases with POP3, you will download your emails from our servers, thereby removing them from our server and putting them into your local email client. With IMAP, your emails and mail folders are kept on our servers, so when you access your email account via IMAP, you'll be looking at your emails remotely.

The advantage with POP3 is that you don't have to be online to check your emails. With IMAP, your emails are stored on our servers. IMAP is used by businesses and email users that need to access their mail from multiple locations and/or by multiple users of the same mailbox

SMTP Access with alternate port

Unlike many other email providers our email packages provide you with an SMTP server through which you can send your emails. This is safer and more efficient than sending through your ISP's SMTP server (like most email providers tell you to do).

We can configure our SMTP servers to adapt to your setup. In most cases, we require SMTP Authentication (a standard configuration option) to be turned on in your email client. In circumstances where this isn't supported, we can authenticate customer IP addresses to send without authentication.

We also provide you with 2 alternate SMTP Ports. Many ISPs block SMTP Port (port 25) on their routers forcing you to use their own SMTP with free email addresses provided by them. Alternate SMTP ports ensures that, you can by-pass your ISP's restrictions and continue to use email address with your own domain name.

Email alias/forwarding feature lets you copy or forward emails received by one email address to another email address. The other email address can be an existing mail account of your domain or an external email address. This feature is often used in organization when another employee is required to have a copy of the message that is sent to another employee for the purpose of monitoring email activities.
