To configure your mail account in Microsoft Outlook 2000, you need to follow below mentioned guide lines.
From the Tools menu, select Accounts....The Internet Accounts window appears.Click the Add a New Email Account Optionand select Mail.... The Internet Connection Wizard appears.
Select POP3 from the Server Type as we need to configure POP3 Type of Account.
Fillin the Information like Your Name, Email Address e.g. email@example.com, User Name (which will be email-domainname), password and Incoming & Outgoing Mail Servers which will be main.domainname.com.
Click On Finish to complete the settings.
Go To Tools>Accounts and View or Change Existing e-mail Accounts under Email.
Select your account from the list.
Click on More Settings and fillup the required info.
Check the box of My outgoing server (SMTP) requires authentication and click on Use same settings as my incoming mail server.
Keep the same settings under Advanced Screen.
